From Lea Valley to the high seas!

It was an exciting afternoon for Yr9 GCSE Dance Thursday 22nd November, when ex LVA student and generally all-round nice guy Adam Hayward, popped in to run a dance workshop.  Adam left LVA 8 years ago having gained an A* in Drama GCSE at Lea Valley in 2011, and went on to study a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dance; his true passion attending Hertford Regional College. Adam gained experience working with various choreographers in many different styles and has worked with companies including Sony, McDonald’s, Instagram, Vegas Showgirls, Princess Cruises, CTC Company; along with music artists such as; CLIQ and Angel Mckenzie.

Adam has built up his experience criteria throughout his journey as a performer within acting, dancing, modelling and teaching and begins his second contract with Princess Cruises as a singer/ dancer within their entertainment shows on Sapphire Princess which will be travelling around South East Asia, Indian Ocean, the Baltics and Mediterranean.

Speaking to LVA Subject Leader of Drama Ms. Andreas, Adam said:

It was a pleasure to teach the talented Year 9 GCSE Dance class; they were focused and open to learning new styles which is a massive asset for a performer! I hope to return to LVA for another workshop with more dance students to further pass on my experiences and knowledge of the performing arts industry. Without all the supportive, hardworking staff at Lea Valley Academy I would not be travelling the world being paid for following my passion.

Thank you Lea Valley Academy!
